Vera Talerko

Biography

Lithuanian soprano Vera Talerko made her National Theatre Opera debut as Marzelline (Fidelio) on January 9, 2020. Since August 2016, she has been a permanent member of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet in Oslo, where she has sung roles of Amore (Orfeo ed Euridice), Lola (Cavalleria rusticana), Frasquita (Carmen), Marzelline (Fidelio) and Musetta (La bohème). She guest appeared as Berenice (L'occasione fa il ladro) at the Rossini festival in Bad Wildbad (Germany). At the State Opera in Prague, she has perfomed as Musetta and Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier). Vera Talerko graduated from the Music and Theatre Academy in Vilnius (Lithuania) and took part in masterclasses led by Violetta Urmana, Adven Harry, Gerda van Celm, Angela Goba, Irina Dolzhenko, etc. She earned prizes in different international competitions such as Vinces Jonuskaites Zaunienes konkursas 2015 (Vilnius, 1st prize), Paula-Salomon-Lindmann-das Lied-Wettbewerb (Berlin, 2nd prize), Yantarnij Solovej (Kaliningrad, 3rd prize). As an active concert singer, she has performed in Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Germany, Austria and Spain.
