Biography

A graduate of the University of Architecture in Venice (2001), Silvia Collazuol gained a Specialist in Theatre Science and Technique degree in 2003. From 2002 to 2010, she worked as an assistant to the Italian stage director Gigi Dall'Aglio. Since 2006, she has been assistant director and assistant set designer to José Cura, with whom she has produced adaptations of La commedia è finita (Rijeka, 2007), Un ballo in maschera (Cologne, 2008), Samson et Dalila (Karlsruhe, 2010), La Rondine (Opéra National de Lorraine, 2012), Cavalleria rusticana / I pagliacci (Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liége, 2012); Otello (Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires, 2013), Cavalleria rusticana / I pagliacci (Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires, 2015), La bohème (Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm, 2015), and Peter Grimes (Bonn, 2017). In 2011, she directed, as well as designed the sets and costumes for, a special version of Nabucco for children (Opera Domani, As.Li.Co. – Teatro Sociale di Como), and in 2011 Così fan tutte (Pocket Opera, As.Li.Co. – Teatro Sociale di Como).
