Romana Noack

Biography

Romana Noack is a graduate of Cologne’s Musikhochschule. During her studies she was engaged at Berlin’s Comic Opera, where she performed in productions of Le nozze di Figaro and Die Zauberflöte with Harry Kupfer. Since her guest appearance with Deutsche Oper am Rhein in 1995 she has been a member of its ensemble and has sung all the major parts in her field, for example, Adele (Die Fledermaus), Musetta (La Bohème), Despina (Così fan tutte), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte) and Elvira (L’Italiana in Algieri). In addition, she has also given guest appearances both at home and abroad, for instance, at Wiener Festwochen as Adele under the baton of N. Harnoncourt, in Copenhaagen as Ännchen (Der Freischütz) and in Le nozze di Figaro in Geneva. In Germany she was successful in Cologne in the role of the Forest Bird (Siegfried), as well as in Leipzig, Hanover, Darmstadt and Berlin in The Merry Widow. In 1998 Romana Noack won a prize in the renowned Belvedere singing competition, and since that time has been a frequent guest at festivals in Austria.
