First soloist of The Czech National Ballet
Born in Russia in 1992, after completing his studies at the Perm State Ballet School (2003-2011), Nikita Chetverikov joined the Perm State P. I. Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre. As its first soloist, from 2011 to 2018 he performed numerous classical repertoire roles, including Albert in Giselle, Siegfried in Swan Lake, James in La Sylphide, the Prince in The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, Ali in Le Corsaire, Spring in The Four Seasons, and others. He has also danced in neo-classical and modern choreographies: William Forsythe’s Second Detail, Jiří Kylián’s Les Noces, George Balanchine’s Serenade and Symphony in Three Movements, Douglas Lee’s Souvenir, and Goyo Montero’s Asunder.
Since the 2018/19 season, he has been a soloist of the Czech National Ballet. He has performed the roles of Solor in La Bayadère, Policeman Bobbie / Nutcracker in the The Nutcracker – A Christmas Carol and Jiří Kylián‘s Bella Figura.
Nikita Chetverikov has received first prize at the Arabesque Ballet Competition (2014, Perm), the Gold Medal at the Grand Prix (2010, Mikhailovsky Theatre), first prize at the Arabesque Ballet Competition for Purity of Classical Dance (2014, Perm), and he has won the Grand Ballet television project.
