Mirna Ores

Biography

The mezzo-soprano Mirna Ores hails from Zagreb, Croatia, where she began studying singing with Professor Nada Puttar-Gold. She further developed her skills at music universities in Graz and Vienna under the tutelage of leading professors of singing, such as Edith Mathis and Walter Moore. In addition, she continued to educate herself with the chamber singer and professor Siegfried Jerusalem. She has performed at numerous song and orchestral concerts in Croatia, England, Austria, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, Germany and Canada. On opera stages she introduced herself in the roles of Cherubino (La Nozze di Figaro), Annius and Sixtus (La Clemenza di Tito), Flora (La Traviata), Prince Orlovsky (Die Fledermaus), Ines (Il Trovatore), the Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte), etc. In the 2004/2005 season she worked in the International Opera Studio at the Staatstheater in Nuremberg. At the present time, she is a soloist of Theater Regensburg.
