Biography

Australian soprano Louise Hudson made her European debut in the State Theatre of Košice in 2004 as Donna Anna (Mozart: Don Giovanni). Since then she has quickly progressed to the theatres of first Prague and Bratislava and then on Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland and Hungary. Her operatic repertoire includes the Verdi heroines in Nabucco, Macbeth, Aida, Il Trovatore, Attila, I Lombardi and I due Foscari as well as Puccini’s Tosca  and Manon Lecaut, Mozart’s Don Giovanni  and La clemenza di Tito, Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana  and Beethoven’s Fidelio. Louise studied mathematics & physics at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. Before travelling to Europe, she performed regularly at the Sydney Opera House & in the Victorian Arts centre for Opera Australia. She was successful in all of the major vocal competitions in Australia including the Metropolitan Opera Auditions, The Remy Martin Opera Awards and The McDonalds Operatic Aria competition). Louise Hudson is soloist of the Slovak National Theatre Opera in Bratislava.
