Biography

Corps de ballet member of Czech National Ballet. His roles include smaller parts in classical ballets as well as character or comical roles such as Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet or Alain in La Fille mal gardée. One of his biggest opportunities was the role of Josef K. in Mauro Bigonzetti’s Kafka: The Trial and main male role in Jiří Kylián’s Gods and Dogs, both pieces showing Rašek’s deep artistry.

Rašek trained at Dance Conservatory Prague and joined Czech National Ballet in 2014. One of his first soloist roles include Mercutio (Romeo and Juliet; Zuska), The Devil (The Nutcracker and the Cuddly Mouse; Zuska), Alain (La Fille mal gardée; Ashton) and Jiří Kylián’s Gods and Dogs.
