Biography
Guest of the National Theatre Opera.
As a member of the Vienna Staatsoper Ildiko Raimondi has been heard in more then 40 opera-roles from Pamina to Mimi and from Susanna to Rosalinde. Moreover she appears in the Wiener Musikverein regularly and has been a highly acclaimed guest of various opera- and concert-stages. She also joined the Bregenzer Festspiele as Micaela (Bizet: Carmen), the Wiener Klangbogen and the Wiener Festwochen in different main characters of Mozart's operas, the Edinburgh Festival, where she sang Marzelline (Beethoven: Fidelio) under Sir Charles Mackerras, and the Salzburger Festspiele with pieces of Mozart under Egon Wellesz.
As a guest she sang at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Semper-Oper Dresden, the Bayerische Staatsoper München with remarkable success. Her artistic curriculum includes concerts, radio- and TV-appearances in many countries of Europe, in Japan and Israel. One should not forget her interpretation of sacral music at the Schubertiade of the Wiener Musikverein and the great oratorios of Bach and Haydn.
Liederabende of Ildiko Raimondi in the Wiener Musikverein, at the Ludwigburger Festspiele, in many cities of Austria and abroad are famous both for the interpretation of the singer and the arrangement of the programmes.
In October 2006 she joined the opening premiere of the operahouse of Valencia – Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía as Marzelline in Fidelio under the direction of Zubin Mehta. In 2007/2008 Ildiko Raimondi´s itinerary mentions Liederabende and concerts in Bonn, Dresden, Frankfurt, Wien and finally the Asia-Tournee of the Wiener Staatsoper as Susanna (Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro) under the batton of Seiji Ozawa.
Under the auspicies of the President of the Federal Republic of Austria Ildiko Raimondi has got the award of the title Österreichische Kammersängerin in 2004. For more information, visit www.ildikoraimondi.com
