Biography

Slovak soprano Helena Becse-Szabó studied at the Music faculty of the Academy of performing arts in Bratislava. After her study she received possibility to perform in the Opera of the Slovak National Theatre. She has performed with great success Nedda in Leoncavallo's I pagliacci, Inez in Verdi's Il trovatore, Pamina in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Euridice in Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice, Micaela in Bizet's Carmen and Valencienne in Lehár's Die lustige Witwe. In 2008, she sang Sylva Varescu in Kálmán's Csárdásfürstin in the State Opera in Košice.
