Graduated from the Prague Academy of Performing Arts with professor Zdeněk Otava, and her vocal technique was most influenced by professor Zdeňka Ziková. Already during her studies she performed in opera houses outside Prague as well as in the National Theatre (Mařenka, Milada). During her performing in Ostrava and in the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava she interpreted significant roles of international as well as Czech repertoire which soon opened her way to stages abroad (especially Turandot and Lady Macbeth, with which she guest performed in Germany, Istanbul, and Teheran; she sang Violetta in Düsseldorf, Káťa in Frankfurt and with Peter Dvorský she performed in The Bartered Bride). She has been a National Theatre soloist since 1979, she enriched her repertoire here with Manon Lescaut, Mozart’s Donna Anna and Countess in Le nozze di Figaro, Beethoven’s Leonora, Smetana’s Anežka and Krasava. As a guest of the Czech Philharmonic she performed at many concerts at home and abroad (Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Japan), she drew interest of international concert agencies (Austria, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Luxemburg, and so forth). She cooperates with radio, television and recording companies (e.g. she participated in many complete opera recordings: Šárka, Dalibor, Libuše, The Kiss, Eva, Don Giovanni, The Greek Passions, The Miracles of Mary). The recording of B.Martinů’s opera The Miracles of Mary in which she interpreted Pascalina was awarded the ”Prix Caecilia” - one of the few awards awarded by Union de la Presse to most prestigious recordings from 1985. At present she sings in the National Theatre among other roles the Princess in Rusalka, The Princess in Dvořák’s The Devil and Kate and the title role in Smetana’s Libuše.
