Biography

Baritone Daniel Kfelíř made his debut at the National Theatre Opera in 2021 as Fiorello in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia. He studied singing at the Plzeň Conservatory and Academy of Music in Prague in the class of Ivan Kusnjer. He participated in singing courses with G. Bouillet, L. Eustis, O. Escalada and A. Carangelo. His repertoire includes Demetrius (Purcell: The Fairy-Queen), Figaro ( Le nozze di Figaro), Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), Morales (Carmen), Štěpán (Martinů: The Marriage), among others. He performed at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Plzeň, at the Baroque Night in Český Krumlov in Wenzel Müller's Das neue Sonntagskind, and at the Musical Summer Festival in Jezeří 2016 in Spohr's Faust. He is the winner of the International Antonín Dvořák Vocal Competition in Karlovy Vary in the Junior category for 2021.
