Biography
Guest of the National Theatre Opera.
Dali Mor was born in 1972 in Zagreb. From an early age he studied piano and singing and went on to graduate from the Music Academy (class of Nada Putar). He participated in several singing competitions, with the most significant success being first prize at the Varazdin Baroque Evenings (1999) festival for rendering the role of Severus in Baiamonti’s opera Carrying St. Dujm. At the present time, he performs as a guest on a number of Croatian opera stages, including the theatres in Osijek, Rijeka, Zagreb and Split. He has sung, for example, the roles of Escamillo (Carmen), Ferrando (Il Trovatore), Capellio (The Capulets and Montagues), the Police Officer (Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District), Colin (La Bohème), the Impresario (Donizetti: Le Convenienze ed Inconvenienze Teatrali), Paolo Albiani and Pietro (Simone Boccanegra), Ramfis (Aida), etc. In the Czech Republic he has sung as a guest at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen in the role of Don Alfonso in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Ferrando in Il Trovatore and Escamillo in Carmen (he also rendered this role in Brno). Dali Mor also performs at concerts.
