Biography
A Polish soprano Beata Raszkiewicz graduated from the K. Szymansky Music Academy in Katowice, where she studied singing in the class of Prof. Gowarzewska. She took part in the vocal master classes in Weimar with Paul Lisizian and in the Mozart Academy in Prague with Prof. Eva Blahova and Ileana Cotrubas and in Vienna she studied with a chamber singer O. Miliakovic. She is a prize-winner of many international vocal competitions, eg. M. Schneider-Trnavsky Vocal Competition in Trnava (Slovakia) and I Cestelli competizione dell’Opera in Berlin. At the A. Dvořák Vocal Competition in Carlsbad (Czech Republic) Beata Raszkiewicz was awarded 1st prize, four special prizes and the title of an Absolute Winner. Beata Raszkiewicz made her opera debut as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni by W.A. Mozart in Wiener Kammeroper. Her other significant appearances include Norma by Bellini, Lucia di Lammermoor by Donizetti, Mozart’s Constance in Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Euridice in Orfeus and Euridice by Gluck. She cooperates with opera houses in Poland, Austria, France, Germany and Japan, namely with the opera La Monnaie in Brussels, with Opéra du Rhin in Strassbourg, with Théatre de la Sinne, Théatre Colmar and with the State Opera in Sczecin. Equally comfortable on the concert stages, Beata Raszkiewicz performs in many European countries (eg. Slovakia, Austria, Germany).
