This evenings celebration will include works by Czech choreographers; Luboš Ogoun and Pavel Šmok, both of whom were the founders of Ballet Prague. In addition to these choreographic works the choreographer and current Artistic Director of the Czech National Ballet, Petr Zuska, who began his dance and choreographic career working with Prague Chamber Ballet, will also be presented.

Tonight's Gala performance is dedicated to the celebration of 50 years since the start of the "unique experiment" in the former Czechoslovakia – establishing an independent dance company called Studio Ballet Prague, later Ballet Prague. The company was founded by Luboš Ogoun, Pavel Šmok and Vladimír Vašut.

Tonight's program will consist of two full length choreographies and three short excerpts. The program opens with Pavel Šmok's From my Life and after the interval, continues with the three short opuses. The first two excerpts display the original work of Studio Ballet Prague; the second movement from Šmok's Intimate Letters and the main duet, of an aviator and his conscience, from Ogoun's Hiroshima. The last excerpt will present the opening movement of In the Mists, choreographed by Petr Zuska to music of Leoš Janáček. This work was originally created for Prague Chamber Ballet. A video of the history of the company, comprising of company photographs and narrated by Ondřej Kepka, will complete the second section. The light hearted Maria's Dream, choreographed by Petr Zuska in 2002 for Prague Chamber Ballet and National Ballet Prague, will be closing the evenings performance.
