Yukiko Šrejmová Kinjo

Soloist of the Opera

After her studies at the Ryukyu University in Japan, Yukiko Šrejmová Kinjo won the Japanese Government’s selection procedure for scholarships to study vocal performance in Italy. She continued her vocal studies at the Milan Music Academy and from 2003 also at the Parma Conservatory with Lucetta Bizzi and Eugenio Furlotti. From October 2005 she lives in Prague where she continued her studies at the Prague Conservatory with prof. Jiří Kotouč. In the summer 2009 she took part in the masterclass with Mirella Freni. In 2007 and in 2008 she became prizewinner in the Antonín Dvořák International Vocal Competition in Karlovy Vary, winning 3rd prize, a special award of Opera Mozart, the best singing interpretation of A.Dvořák and also she took an opportunity to sing in the Prague State Opera in the seasons of 2009 to 2011 and in the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec. From 2009 she is singing Adina (L’elsir d’amore) at the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec, as Papagena (Die Zauberflote) she guest appeared at the Prague State Opera. and as first nymph (Rusalka), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro), Despina (Così fan tutte), Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Flower maiden (Wagner: Parsifal) and Amor (Gluck: Orfeo ed Euridice) in the National Theatre in Prague. Since November 2012 she has been a soloist of the Czech National Opera. She also gives concert performances (Vivaldi: Gloria; Mozart: Requiem; Haydn: Stabat Mater, Handel: Messiah, Beethoven: Symphony No. 9, Dvořák: Stabat Mater and Te Deum; Poulenc: Stabat Mater; Mozartissimo at the Estates Theatre) etc.
