Guest of the Opera
Studied voice at the conservatories in Pardubice and Prague, subsequently at Prague’s Academy of Music with Naděžda Kniplová, graduating in 2008. She attended several singing courses, including those given by Magdaléna Hajóssyová and Gabriela Beňačková. In 2005 she won the Antonín Dvořák International Voice Competition in Karlovy Vary in the song category; at the same competition one year later she was the only representative from the Czech Republic to receive an honourable mention in the opera category. In 2008 she received 3rd prize and the Journalists Award at the Ad Honorem Mozart competition in Prague. She has appeared as a guest at the Theatre in Plzeň, performing as the First Wood Sprite (Dvořák: Rusalka) and Sister Genovieffa (Puccini: Suor Angelica). Over the long term she has collaborated with Chamber Opera Prague, singing the Countess (Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro) and Berta (Rossini: Il barbiere di Siviglia). With this ensemble she also toured Japan (2006 and 2008), appearing in the roles of Marcellina (Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro), the Second Lady and the Second Boy (Mozart: Die Zauberflöte) and Berta (Rossini: Il barbiere di Siviglia). For the Opera Studio of the Academy of Music she has performed as Mozart’s Countess and Agafia (Martinů: The Marriage). In 2009, she made her debut in the National Theatre as the harvester in Smetana’s Libuše. Since the 2008/09 season she has performed in the National Theatre as the Second Nymph in Dvořák’s Rusalka, Chambermaid in The Devil and Kate, the second lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. In 2012, she participated as a mermaid in a world premiere of Marko Ivanović’s opera Enchantia. She has also performed as Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni.
