Radim Kalvoda was born in 1973 in Vsetín. He spent his childhood in Olomouc. From 1987 he studied at Brno Conservatory and in 1991 he went to Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. With his classmates he founded theatre group CD94 there. He remained a member of this group till 2001. After a long period of freelancing and one year engagement at Kladno’s Town Theatre he joined a Municipal Theatres of Prague, where he now performs for an eíght season.
