Access to the theatre
Access to the theatre is rather complicated; therefore, it is necessary to arrange a visit in advance when purchasing a ticket. Persons with impaired movement abilities enter the theatre through the main entrance, then continue through the courtyard. Assistance from the staff is necessary along the whole route up to the entrance to the auditorium.
After surmounting two stairs in front of the lift, a ramp (width of 72 cm) is available, then take the lift (the door width of 137 cm, the inner lift width of 143 cm, depth of 220 cm) to the top floor. From the exit from the lift in the direction of the auditorium it is necessary to take another 8 and 2 stairs downwards. The theatre staff will bring mobile wooden skids which, owing to the number of stairs, are very perpendicular. In general, this form of access is not overly suitable for persons in electric wheelchairs. Further access to the auditorium is barrier-free, across the stage, at the same level with the front part of the auditorium. A person in a wheelchair can sit next to the rows in the front part of the auditorium or take a seat on a chair.
