The story based on the Wendish legend about a boy called Krabat who on the threshold of adulthood comes to know how to learn through apprenticeship Black Magic. The story has been adapted for many times. For instance, into a 1977 Czech animated film, Čarodějův učeň (The Sorcerer's Apprentice), directed by Karel Zeman. This particular production by SKUTR duo and choreography by Jan Kodet carries traces of both horror and magical spells. This all is strengthen by original music by Zbyněk Matějů.
