He was given acting education at the Janáček‘s Academy of performing arts in Brno (graduated in 1986). Between 1986 - 1991 he worked in the Theatre „Husa na provázku“ (Brno), where he significantly contributed to a number of performances – among other things: Hugo in „The Garden Party“, Pilgrim in the „Labyrinth of the World and Paradise of the Hear“t, several Shakespearean roles in productions created „Shakespearomania“ I and II. etc. From 1993 - 1996 he was a member of Drama Club of Prague, where he played for example role of Andrew in „A Midsummer Night's Dream“ or Figaro in „Le Nozze di Figaro“. Since then he’s hosting in other theatres as well (Archa Theatre, Viola, Řeznická Theatre, Dlouhá Theatre etc.) He became a member of National Theatre in 1999. Since then he played several charismatic roles, such as Myshkin in Dostoyevsky’s „The Idiot“, Kotrlý in Havel’s „Temptation“, Brother Lorenzo in Shakespeare’s „Romeo and Juliet“ and many more. Since September 2009 he decided to act in theatrical productions of National Theatre as a guest. He can still be seen in many notable roles. He played more than 40 roles both in film and on TV.
