Jana Pidrmanová

Studied drama at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under the tutelage of Eva Salzmannová, Alois Švehlík, Daria Ullrichová and Jan Nebeský. While attending the school, she performed at the Studio Damúza (Vidomingon in Pliya’s Mon petit Puocet), at the Cross Club in Prague (the Teacher in The Silent Girl), etc. After completing her studies, she appeared with the Aha Theatre company at Prague’s Gong in the titular role of the Snow Queen, and performed Lydia Bennet in the production of Pride and Prejudice at the South Bohemia Theatre in České Budějovice. While still a student, she portrayed at the National Theatre in Prague the role of Roxane in Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac. After performing several roles as a guest, in the 2012/13 season she joined the National Theatre. At the present time, she can be seen at the Estates Theatre as Tehila in Galron’s Mikveh and as Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew. At the Kolowrat Theatre she performs the role of Una in David Harrower’s play Blackbird.
