Oleksandr Kysil

Demi-soloist of the National Theatre Ballet He was born in Kiev and he trained at the Kiev State Conservatoire. After graduating in 1995 he joined the north Czech Ballet Company in Usti nad Labem as a soloist. There he danced roles in Requiem (Ondrej Soth), Nightfall (Libor Vaculik) and Mercucio (Romeo and Juliet). In 1996 he joined Ballet Company in Plzen where he danced Benvolio (Romeo and Juliet), Armand and The Angel of Death (The Lady of the Camellias), and Basil (Don Quijote) and roles in Carmina Burana. In 2003 he joined the Ballet Company in Zwickau, Germany. Here he participated in the choreographic project Biography of Jim Morrison. At the end of 2003 he joined National Theatre Ballet in Prague. His repertoire includes Mercucio (Romeo and Juliet), Jester, Russian dance (Swan Lake), Sforza (Lucrezia Borgia), Russian dance (The Nutcracker – A Christmas Carol by Youri Vamos) and solo (Napoli). His modern repertoire includes roles in The Child and Magic (Jiri Kylian), Maria’s Dream, Ways 03, Among the Mountains, Requiem, Ibbur, or Prague Mystery, D.M.J.1953 – 1977, BREL – VYSOTSKY – KRYL / Solo for three (Petr Zuska), Goldilocks and Camoufl?AGE (Jan Kodet), Álbum Familiar (Conny Janssen), Through Nana’s Eyes (Itzik Galili), Carmen (Mats Ek), Santa Says Cut It! (Johan Greben, Uri Ivgi) and 6 Halves of a Human (Zuzana Simakova).
