The gifted young danseur possesses technical brilliance and the sense for rendition of dramatic, life-changing moments, as well as comical, humorous situations.
Born in Naples, after completing his dance studies at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Federico Ievoli was engaged at the Balletto di Siena (2011–2015, headed by Marco Batti), where in 2013 he was appointed a soloist. In 2015, he joined the Czech National Ballet, where four years later he was named a demi-soloist and in April 2021 promoted to first soloist.
His most significant classical repertoire roles include Lensky in Onegin (John Cranko), Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (Petr Zuska), the Bobbie and the Nutcracker in The Nutcracker – A Christmas Carol (Youri Vámos), the Chevalier Danceny in Valmont (Libor Vaculík), and he has excelled as the Prince of the West in The Sleeping Beauty (Marcia Haydée), Valerio in Leonce & Lena (Christian Spuck), the Painter in Kafka: The Trial (Mauro Bigonzetti), etc. Federico has also appeared in neoclassical and contemporary pieces, including Serenade (George Balanchine), Gods and Dogs, Petite Mort, Bella Figura and Symphony of Psalms (Jiří Kylián), Separate Knots (Emanuel Gat), Cacti (Alexander Ekman), Decadance (Ohad Naharin), and other works.
Within the We Will Dance Through It National Theatre Gala in the spring of 2020 he performed the solo choreography Ballet 101 (Eric Gauthier).
