Biography

She studied singing at the Prague Conservatory. She was awarded 2nd prize in the Antonín Dvořák singing competition in Karlovy Vary. Of her further awards we can mention the Belvedere International singing competition for classical operetta in Vienna in 1987 (finalist) and the Mozart’s Prague singing competition in 1989. She obtained a place first of all as a member of the Prague Smetana Theatre opera ensemble, but from the beginning was entrusted with solo work. She has appeared as a guest soloist in Ústí nad Labem and České Budějovice. She was the soloist of the National Theatre Opera Ensemble between 1987-2007. The roles she has interpreted included a.o. many of the czech operatic repertoire, Mozart’s Barbarina and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Janáček’s Christina (The Makropulos Affair) and the title role in The Cunning Little Vixen.
