Biography

Member of the National Theatre Ballet Born in 1979 in Mladá Boleslav, in 1998 he graduated from the Prague Dance Conservatoire, where he studied modern and folk dance with Professors Jiří Paclík, Pavel Ždichynec and Ivan Muchka. Between 1998 and 2000 he worked at the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec, where he began collaborating with the choreographer Pavel Šmok and danced in the ballets Romeo and Juliet, Transfigured Night, A Musical Joke and Francesca di Rimini. In 2001 he joined the Prague Chamber Ballet, where he performed in choreographies by renowned Czech and foreign creators: Jiří Kylián (Six Dances), Pavel Šmok (Stabat Mater, The Wild Dove, Sinfonietta, Golem, The Wedding), Libor Vaculík (Slavonic Duets, Don Juan, Hiroshima, Dances According to Brahms), Petr Zuska (Sonata, Little Gallows, Maria’s Dream), Patrick Delacroix (Son chemin).

Since the 2004/05 season he has been a member of the National Theatre Ballet in Prague (till 2018), dancing chorus as well as minor solo roles in the choreographies The Taming of the Shrew, Onegin (John Cranko), The Nutcracker – A Christmas Carol (Youri Vamos), Lucrezia Borgia, Faust (Libor Vaculík), Ways 03, Maria’s Dream, A Little Extreme, A Little Touch of the Last Extreme, Brel – Vysotsky – Kryl / Solo for Three, D.M.J. 1953–1977, Symphony No. 1 in D major, Le sacre du printemps (Petr Zuska), Goldilocks (Jan Kodet), Santa Says Cut It! (Uri Ivgi, Johan Greben).

In the 2018/2019 season, he started his cooperation with Laterna magika. At the present time, he also appears in projects and performances of the Dekka Dancers group.
