Tom Visser

Biography

The Irish lighting designer and photographer Tom Visser has collaborated with the Nederlands Dans Theater over the long term. He began his career as a lighting designer at the age of 18, and since the mid-2000s has worked extensively for music theatre and dance. When he was 24, he moved to The Hague to join the Nederlands Dans Theater. He has designed lighting for numerous companies throughout the world. The choreographers he has worked with include Crystal Pite, Alexander Ekman, Lukáš Timulak, Johan Inger and Sharon Eyal.

Since 2016, Visser has created his own art installations, making use of interactive media.
