Sung Kyu Park

Biography

Sung Kyu Park studied voice at the Sham-Yook University in Seoul, at the international voice school of Flaine (France) and in Italy with Katia Ricciarelli and Vittorio Terranova. Further he obtained a voice degree from the Conservatory G. Verdi in Milan. His future projects include Verdi's Requiem in Prague Cathedral, Gabriele Adorno (Simon Bocanegra) at Staatstheater Darmstadt, Riccardo (Un Ballo in Maschera) at Theater Chemnitz, Pollione (Norma) and Don Alvaro (La Forza del Destino) at Teatro Municipal de Santiago and Calaf(Turandot) at Copenhagen Royal Opera. Recent engagements include Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut) at Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, Calaf (Turandot) and Enzo (La Gioconda) in Brno, Calaf (Turandot) at Seoul Arts Center, Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut) and Radames (Aida) at the Teatro Petruzzelli Bari, Calaf (Turandot) at ROH Covent Garden London and at Theater Kiel. Among his past engagements: Norma in Modena, Ferrara, Livorno, Piacenza (with Dimitra Theodossiou), Trieste (conductor Julian Kovatchev), Anhaltisches Theater Dessau and St Gallen; BacchusAriadne auf Naxos, Lohengrin and Erik in Der Fliegende Holländer at Theater Kiel, Jacopo Foscari in I due Foscari and Giasone in Medea by L.
