Biography

She studied dance in Monte Carlo at the Besobrasova school. Her other teachers included R. Nurejev, Y. Chauviré, T. Beaumont, G. Mayer, A. Glegowsky, L. Duthoit, J. Amiel, J. Slavický, I. Mukhamedov, M. Martinez and J. Torres. Since 1993, she has been working as a freelance dance pedagogue at the National Opera Ballet of Bordeaux, Adage Dance Centre in Bordeaux and the ballet youth company in Bobigny. Silvia Daverat also works as a teacher and choreographer at the Conservatory in Tarbes. She has taken part in several international ballet tours and she is a certified Ayurvedic massage practitioner. During her dancing career, she worked for M. Bejart, Ch. Grimaldi and the Bordeaux National Opera and Ballet. From 1977 to date she Dance in pieces choreographed by e.g. C Jude, G. Balanchine, P. Taylor, P. Bortoluzzi, D. Parsons and A. Tudor. She also danced principal roles in classical ballets. e.g. Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, Raymonda, and The Sleeping Beauty.
