Roman Vocel
Born on 26 March 1964 in Prague. After finishing his studies at State conservatoire in Prague he got engagement at State Opera Prague. He also performed as a guest at the opera stages of National Theatre in Prague, Opera Mozart, other important theatres in Czech republic, Spain and Italy. He is also interpreting concert works and songs at many concert stages. He performs with Symphonic Orchestra FOK, Capella Istropolitana and Czech collegium orchestra. He worked out many roles of local and world repertoir (Janáček: The Cunning little Vixen - Revírník, Bizet: Carmen - Zuniga, Mozart: Don Giovanni - Komtur, Dvořák: The Jacobin - Purkrabí, Hrabě Vilém z Harasova) and recorded CDs of Mozart’s Requiem, A. Goldscheier’s Requiem and B. Martinů’s The Opening of the Springs and Legend of the Smoke from Potato Fires. For Czech Radio he recorded songs by J. B. Foerster, K. Bendl and V. J. Tomášek.
