Biography

regular guest of the National Theatre opera He was born in Prague and graduated from the Prague conservatoire and the Academy of Performing Arts. Already during his studies he performed as a soloist for example in the J.K.Tyl’s Theatre opera in Plzeň, The State Theatre in Ústí nad Labem, F.X.Šalda’s Theatre in Liberec, the Prague State Opera, and others. His main roles include among others Tamino – The Magic Flute, Ottavio – Don Giovanni, Ferrando – Cosi fan tutte, Almaviva – Il barbiere di Siviglia, Rinnuccio – Gianni Schicchi, Lensky – Eugen Onegin, Turridu in Mascagni’s opera Cavalleria Rusticana or Don José in Carmen. From the Czech repertoire he sings the Prince in Rusalka, Jiří in Jacobin or Vít in Smetana’s The Secret. For the Czech Radio and the Czech Television he has recorded G.Ph.Telemann’s Die Tageszeiten, Orff’s Carmina burana, M.A.Charpentier’s Te Deum, and other pieces. He regularly guest performs abroad, for example in Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Japan, and Greece.
