Petra Noskaiová

Biography

Guest of the National Theatre Opera. The soprano Petra Noskaiová studied at the conservatory in Bratislava with Ružena Illenbergerová, graduating in 1994. She attended several international master-classes, including in Krieglach (Austria) and at the Týn School in Prague. At the Summer Academy for Early Music in Innsbruck she was a pupil of Sigiswald Kuijken. She has collaborated with a number of ensembles and artists specialising in performing old music (Collegium Marianum, Camerata Bratislava, Musica Aeterna, Pražští madrigalisté, Musica Antiqua Praha, Capella Regia, Musica Florea, Teatro Lirico, Capella Istropolitana, Andrew Parrott, Stephen Stubbs, Sigiswald Kuijken, Harry Van der Kamp, Suzie le Blanc, Howard Crook, Barbara Schlick, Paul Elliott, etc.). With these ensembles and artists she has made a host of recordings, works by Peter Zagar (Apokalypsis Ioannis), Franz Lizst (Via crucis), Mikuláš Schneider-Trnavský (Mass), as well as works by Kryštof Harant of Polžice, Antonio Vivaldi, Adam Michna of Otradovice, Jan Dismas Zelenka and other composers. She has received acclaim for the recordings of J. M. Leclair’s Scylla and Glaucus (Collegium Marianum - Simon Standage), Requiem by W. A. Mozart and Sieben letzte Worte by Joseph Haydn (La Petite Bande - Sigiswald Kuijken). At the present time, Petra Noskaiová primarily performs with Sigiswald Kuijken’s La Petite Band and Paul Van Nevel’s Huelgas Ensemble.
