Ondrej Šaling graduated from the Faculty of Education of Komenský University in Bratislava and in the year 2010 from the Academy of Music in Bratislava, where he studied with Magdaléna Blahušiaková. During his studies he cooperated in the Opera Studio with the conductor Ondrej Lenárd and tenors Peter Dvorský and Michal Lehotský. At present, Ondrej Šaling is soloist of the Slovak National Theatre Opera in Bratislava, where he has created many roles including Pang (Puccini: Turandot), Rustighello and Vitellozzo (Donizetti: Lucrezia Borgia), A Holy Fool (Musorgsky: Boris Godunov), Tamino (Mozart: Die Zauberflöte), Arlecchino (Leoncavallo: I pagliacci), Goro (Puccini: Madama Butterfly), Tonio (Donizetti: La fille du régiment), Don Ottavio (Mozart: Don Giovanni), Edmondo (Puccini: Manon Lescaut), Nemorino (Donizetti: L’elisir d‘amore), Almaviva (Rossini: Il barbiere di Siviglia), Arturo Talbo (Bellini: I puritani), Malcolm (Verdi: Macbeth) or Brighella (R. Strauss: Ariadna auf Naxos). He has guest appeared in Opera Ireland in Dublin (Ariadna auf Naxos), in Switzerland in Murten (L’elisir d‘amore) and Solothurn (Turandot), and in Miskolc, Hungary (Die Zauberflöte). Extensive too is his concert activity.
