Soloist of The Czech National Ballet

Biography

Soloist of Czech National Ballet, graduated from Dance Conservatory Prague where in 2000 she was named a best student. She danced with National Theatre Brno as well as with Bayerische Staatsballett in Munchen. She was named a soloist of Czech National Ballet in 2016. Her soloist roles include Myrtha in Giselle (Vláčilová) and madame de Tourvel in Valmont (Vaculík).

Born in Prague, graduated from Dance Conservatory Prague (class of Hana Vláčilová) in 2003. She participated in many ballet competitions, in 2001 she won 1st place at Prix Carpeaux, in 2002 she won 2nd place at the same competition. She won 1nd place and Public Award at Young Dancers competition in Amsterdam, she also won an Eurovision Prize. As a young professional she won 3rd prize at International Ballet Competition in Brno (2006).

She joined ballet company of National Theatre Brno in 2003, one of her first soloist parts was Clara in Nutcracker. Then she joined Czech National Ballet for three seasons, during this time she created roles in Brel – Vysotsky – Kryl / Solo for Three (Zuska), Onegin (Cranko), Petit Mort (Kylián) and The Dying Swan.

From 2007 till 2012 she was a dancer of Bayerische Staatsballett. Her repertory with the company included roles in ballets such as Giselle (Ek), Gods and Dogs (Kylián), Sleeping Beauty (Liška after Petipa), Las Hermanas (MacMillan), Taming of the Shrew (Cranko).

In 2012 she became a demi soloist of Czech National Ballet, in 2016 she was made a soloist.

Her roles include Carabosse (Sleeping Beauty; Torres), pas de trois (Swan Lake; Greeve), Arabian dance (Nutcracker – A Christmas Carol; Vàmos) and contemporary choreographies by William Forsythe (In the Middle Somewhat Elevated), Jacopo Godani (Reflections on the Fate of Human Forms), Radu Poklitaru (Rain) or George Balanchina (Theme and Variations).
