Miriam Busch

Miriam Busch was born in Germany. She graduated in Costume Design in 2000 after studying with Maren Christensen at the Academy of Design and Media in Hanover.
In 2001 she went to the Mannheim National Theatre as an Assistant Set Designer, designing costumes for such productions as »Die Räuber« (opening of the International Schiller Festival, directed by Kade Schmidt) and »Die sexuellen Neurosen unserer Eltern« (directed by Christian Hockenbrink).
Since 2004, she has been working as a freelance stage and costume designer in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Korea with the directors Stephanie Mohr, Christian Hockenbrink, Franz Wittenbrink and Jens-Daniel Herzog. She has collaborated on productions such as »3 von 5 Millionen« by Fritz Kater, »Der Schweinehirtentraum« by F. K. Wächter and »Medea« by Hans Henny Jahn at the Mannheim National Theatre, »musst boxen« (first performance) by Claudius Lünstedt at the Nuremberg State Theatre, »Das Spiel von Liebe und Zufall« at the Bad Hersfeld Festival, »Die Weberischen« (first performance) with the Tiger Lillies by Felix Mitterer and »Woyzeck + The Tiger Lillies« for Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, »Die letzte Show« by Lutz Hübner at Schauspiel Kiel, »Tod eines Handlungsreisenden« by Arthur Miller at the Oldenburg State Theatre, »Reigen« by Arthur Schnitzler, »Besuch bei dem Vater« by Roland Schimmelpfennig (first performance in Austria), »Ein Monat auf dem Lande« by Ivan Turgenev and »Frühlings Erwachen« by Frank Wedekind, »Forever Young« (first performance) by Franz Wittenbrink, »Speed« by Zach Helm, »Jägerstätter« (first performance) by Felix Mitterer at Vienna's Theater in der Josefstadt, »Der Riese vom Steinfeld« by Peter Turrini at the Volkstheater in Vienna, »Hamlet« at the National Theatre in Seoul, »Sonny Boys« at Schauspiel Frankfurt, »Buddy – Die Buddy Holly Story« for Stage Entertainment at the Colosseum Theatre in Essen, »Die Räuber« at Klagenfurt City Theatre and »Die Dreigroschenoper« at the Salzburg Regional Theatre.
