Minna Wallenius

Biography

Minna Wallenius was born in 1973. She graduated from the Lahti Institute of Design and the Helsinki University of Art and Design, where in 2001, she received a master’s degree in theatre, film and television design. For several years, she has been a successful set designer for various theatre productions, television and short films. She currently works as a designer for The Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE (TV2 Design).
She has been cooperating with Finnish opera companies since 2001. She designed the sets for production, including The Tales of Hoffmann (Helsinki Opera Association), Carmen (Pori Opera Association), Tosca (Turku Opera Association), Le nozze di Figaro (Jyvaskyla Regional Opera) and L’elisir d’amore (Lahti Opera Association). For the Finnish National Ballet, she created the sets for the production of The Sleeping Beauty of J. Torres in 2008.
