JoAnn Kulesza

JoAnn Kulesza is the Music Director and Interim Chair of the Opera Department at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, Maryland.  She has also worked for the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Washington National Opera, Pittsburgh Opera Center, Baltimore Opera, Utah Festival Opera, Wolf Trap Opera and the Chicago Symphony.  She has taught at the University of Connecticut, the Hochschule Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, at summer festivals around the world, and has conducted more than 20 opera operas, including Don Giovanni, Cosi fa Tutte, Werther, L’Italiana in Algeiri, Turn of the Screw, Amahl and the Night Vistitors, Albert Herring, Die Weisse Rose, Mahagonny Songspiel, Three Penny Opera, The Reunion, Transformations, Clara, The Alien Corn and the Yellow Wallpaper.
