Jana Horčičková completed her studies of production at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in 1996. She gained further education at residencies and seminars: PR and Marketing – seminars for art managers held by the Netherlands Theatre Institute and the Kylián Foundation in Prague and Amsterdam; the European Art Management Forum – a seminar held by the European Academy for Culture and Management in Salzburg; Practical Fundraising for the Advanced – a seminar held by the Information Centre for Foundations in Prague; Artslink – a residency at the Dance Theatre Workshop and the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York.
From 1994 to 1996 she worked for the Dance Prague international festival of contemporary dance art and motion theatre. Between 1996 and 2001 she was project manager at the Archa Theatre. In 2001 and 2002 she worked for the Leo Burnett advertising agency. Since 2002 she has been a producer of independent national and international dance, theatre and creative projects, including opera projects of the stage director Jiří Heřman and the in spe association. In April 2007 she assumed the position of Head of National Theatre Opera Production.
