Jan Krejčík

Biography

Jan Krejčík was born in 1974. He studied conducting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the class of Jiří Bělohlávek (graduating in 2000) and composition and orchestration at Conservatoire national supérieur de musique in Paris (2004 and 2006). He further honed his conducting skills with F. X. Roth. Between 1993 and 2000 he was chorus master of Vox Nymburgensis. At the present time, he is studying for a doctorate in conducting at the Academy of Performing Arts under the tutelage of Prof. Ivan Kurz and Prof. Marek Kopelent. Since 2007 he has been assistant chorus master of the Kühn Children’s Choir and chorus master of the mixed choir Canti di Praga. Update: November 2008
