Biography

Graduate of the Dance Conservatory in Prague, she frequented summer schools of dance in Cologne, Germany, and in Pertuis, France, while still a conservatory student. In 2000 she won First Prize in the ballet competition in Brno, Czech Republic, along with the Best Artistic Creation Award. After completing her studies, she spent four years as a member of the Prague National Theatre ballet company (1999-2003), a stage in her career which was followed by two years of engagement with Tulsa Ballet in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Subsequently, she was soloist of the ballet company of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, Germany, dancing mostly in Yuri Vàmos’ choreographies, including notably the parts of Juliet in Romeo and Juliet; Helen in A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Bride and Groom in Gisèle; Clara in The Nutcracker; and the title part in The Jewess of Toledo.
Apart from these roles, her repertoire includes the parts of Cendrillon; Lisette in La Fille mal gardée; Bluebird in The Sleeping Beauty, as well as solo parts in various choreographies of Nacho Duato, Jiří Kylián, George Balanchine or Mats Ek. Since the 2009/10 season, she has been a member of the Swedish Royal Ballet in Stockholm, where she was cast, soon after joining the company, in the part of Swanilde in a production of Coppélia choreographed by the company’s head, Marc Ribaud. She previously guest appeared at the Prague State Opera as Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, and currently features on its stage as Anastasia in The Sleeping Beauty – the Czar’s Last Daughter.
