Member of the Orchestra: Violin I, Concertmaster
Alexej Rosík (1984) was born in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, into a family with rich musician roots. As a child he showed to be versatile talented violinist with and at the age of 11 he became an exceptional pupil of the conservatory in Žilina, where he studied under the tutelage of Bohumil Urban. In 2003, he graduated from the Prague conservatory where he studied with Jindřich Pazdera, in 2005 he graduated from Prague Academy of Music (B.A.) and in 2008 he finished his studies at Sibelius Academy in Helsinki in the class of Alexander Vinnitski. In 2010 he gratuated from Academy of Music in Prague (M.A.) and at same time he finished his studies at Hochschule für Music und Theater Hannover in the class of Lara Lev. He has been studiing the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien in the class of Jan Pospíchal since September 2011. Alexej Rosík became laureat of many international competitions and participated at many master classes. He has performed at concerts in England, Finland, Germany, Italy, Holland, Norway, Japan, Thailand, USA, etc. He has co-operated as soloist with foremost orchestras in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia, since 2007 he has been invited to lead Britten-Pears Festival Orchestra in Aldeburgh, England. Since 2011/2012 season he has been Concertmaster of Prague National Theatre Orchestra. Alexej Rosík plays David Tecchler‘s violin from 1707.
