Biography

Polish soprano, a graduate of the Academy of Music in Katowice, where she sang in Händel’s Xerxes and Mozart’s opera Così fan tutte. In 1998 she became a soloist of the Camerata Silesia association, with which she has performed at concerts both in Poland and abroad. She is a laureate of several singing competitions (Bytom, Priego de Cordoba), in 2002 she was the winner of the Antonín Dvořák International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary. In February 2003 she made her debut at the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre in the role of Gilda in Verdi’s opera Rigoletto. Since March 2004 she has been a soloist here and has interpreted, among others, the roles of the Queen of the Night (Mozart: Die Zauberflöte), Verdi's Violetta Valéry (La traviata) and Nannetta (Falstaff) and others.Update: 2005
