Repeat performance

The work Mozart directly intended for Prague had its world premiere at today’s Estates Theatre in 1791. The story of the Roman Emperor Tito, who shows clemency and forgives the devisers of a plot, was prepared for the National Theatre in a modern and timeless adaptation by the leading German opera directors Ursel and Karl-Ernst Hermann. The production has met with a tremendous response on the part of audiences and reviewers alike, as evidenced by the number of prestigious Czech awards members of the production team and singers (Kate Aldrich, Johannes Chum) have received.
Orchestra and Choir of the National Theatre Opera. Hammerklavier: Zdeněk Klauda.
